    There are currently two types of stud finders in the market place. The inexpensive pivoted magnetic rod type that is ineffective on any kind of drywall surface. On the other hand, the Electronic Stud Sensors are too sensitive, especially on the painted textured surface, it gives false and confusing indications.

The Utilized a powerful high tech magnet (a magnet that can hold many times its own weight), encapsulate the magnet in a lightweight plastic enclosure. Attach the enclosure to one end of the eight-inch chain.  The user holds the other  end of the chain, swing the device from side to side and move his hand slowly up or down against the wall surface. When the device passes close to a stud nail, it will stop the swing action and attach itself to the nail. Thus positively identifying the location of the stud. It is reliable, simple and effective. It was designed so that even a sight impaired homeowner handyman can easily master the use of this stud finding device.
